Full-Spectrum Surf Coaching

One full coaching day with Mauricio Meardi, our head guide and instructor: 30 minutes of theory on land adapted to your level, 60 minutes of coaching in the water while you are filmed, and a same-day video review in the lobby with your instructor, so you can see how you surf and exactly what to improve. It also includes a surf workshop and one of your two cold plunge sessions. You leave with clear points to work on for the rest of your trip. Want to keep your footage? Bring a USB drive and we'll copy it for you.

If conditions don't allow it, we reschedule your coaching day within your stay.

Cold plunge

Two guided cold plunge sessions with breathwork are included, one of them as part of your Full-Spectrum coaching day. They take place in our dedicated cold plunge area, a grassy space next to the surfboard lockers, and we schedule them with you during your stay at the time that suits you best.

Cold plunge is a wellness complement, not a medical treatment. It is not recommended if you are pregnant or have a heart condition, high blood pressure or another medical condition. Please check with your doctor before taking part.

The waves in range

Every morning, Mauricio Meardi, our head guide and instructor, looks at your level, the swell and the tide, and recommends where to go so every session is a good one.

  • Las Flores: the right-hand point break in front of the resort
  • La Vaca, Las Casitas and Punta Toro de Oro
  • Playa El Toro: beach break
  • Punta Mango
  • Punta Bongo and other points beyond Punta Mango

There are waves for every level, except when a swell is very large and calls for advanced surfers. The main swell season runs April to October; from November to March the waves are gentler.

“Everything about our stay was amazing. The proximity to surfing and the quietness of the water while surfing were incomparable; to be able to surf right outside our door without having to compete for waves was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Perfect for learning. Everyone was so kind. Food was amazing.”

FAQ

How do I get there?

Fly into San Salvador (SAL). Your driver meets you at arrivals; the private transfer is included both ways for your group arriving and departing together, for flights between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.

What level do I need?

There are waves for every level. Mauricio, our head guide, assesses your level and the day's swell and tide and recommends where to surf. Only a very large swell calls for advanced surfers.

Can I come solo?

Yes. You join another group's panga trip. If no trip goes out that day, we offer a surf lesson or a coaching session instead.

Are boards included?

Boards are included on surf-lesson days within the program. For panga trips, free surfing at the point or extra days, board rental is US$35 per day. Advanced surfers usually bring their own.

What if I can't surf one day?

With at least 24 hours' notice, swap a surf day for a yoga session, a 45-minute massage, a fishing trip or a select local tour (minimum participants apply). Unused days are not refunded or credited after departure.

When should I come?

Year-round. The main swell season runs April to October; from November to March the waves are gentler.

How do I pay, and can I cancel?

A 50% deposit confirms your booking and the balance is due 14 days before arrival. See «Payment and cancellation» above for the full policy.
